What does International Woman’s Day mean to you?

International Women’s Day is a day when women are recognized for their achievements, regardless of divisions, be they national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. It is a chance to reflect on women’s achievements and to prepare for the future and the opportunities that await future generations of women.

What does it mean to be a woman in the part of the world and society you live in?

An African woman is also an educator as a guardian mother of the cultural authenticity, agent of the development. It participates in the effort of national progress, so called to responsibilities.

Which woman in the Bible inspire you? How can you relate her character in today’s challenges faced by women within your local community, and globe?

Deborah. She was the only woman in the scriptures to have been a political leader. Head of the nation, she sought no personal glory. In front of a decisive and assured victory, she preferred to fade and call a man (Barak) to take command of the armed Deborah is seen as an example that would allow women to exercise the authority of Christ, even spiritual authority in certain situations.

Happy International Women’s Day
