The OAIC will hold their Enlarged Executive committee meeting and Consultation in Accra Ghana between 28th November- 2nd December 2016. This meeting takes place every 5 years when OAIC brings together church leadership, youth and women representatives from across Africa. The theme of this meeting will be “Listening to the Holy Spirit Afresh.” This theme gives us an opportunity as a faith community to look at the social, political and economic challenges that are facing us in Africa whilst looking at our resourcefulness to address these issues.
The following key issues will be discussed during the meeting:
- Moving from Food insecurity to food sovereignty
- Africa the young continent the potential and the threats: instability, human trafficking, Drugs, unemployment, extremism etc
- Migration: Why are so many people risking their lives to leave Africa?
